The Right Timing for Skincare

Many women spend a lot on skincare products but find out that these products are not as effective as they described. I am not going to say anything about the effective of these products. But I wish to point out that having the right timing for your skincare products is important. If you have the right timing, the effect of your expensive skincare products can be doubled or even tripled. This timing idea is not an intuition or personal experience; it is developed according to the physiological time of the human body. Let’s discover the right timing now!

Our skin functions at its best from 8am to 12pm. During this period of time, the sebaceous gland secretes vigorously to provide the highest immunity and restoration. This is the best time for salon treatments like freckle and hair removal, peeling, blackhead removal, etc. Performing these treatments during the hours, you will get the best effect and the fastest restoration.

After a big lunch at noon, we need to digest it. Blood circulation increases for digestive system and decreases for skin, therefore we say that the skin is tired in the afternoon. When skin is tired, moisture is lost and we need to replenish the moisture. For those working in office during the afternoon, you may not be able to re-apply skincare products. You may simple have a water spray for skin hydration.

After 4pm, all the foods are digested and huge amount of nutrients are absorbed by body. Activities of the brain, heart and lung increase. This increase in activities of main organs increases the oxygen content in blood. Skin’s absorbency increases from 4pm to 8pm and therefore, it is best to enjoy a spa during this time. You may also exercise to facilitate skin detoxification.

Blood pressure starts decreasing from 8pm. Until 11pm, the possibility of body swelling (edema) and inflammation is the highest during the whole day. Therefore, you should avoid any irritating actions like acne treatment and blackhead removal to your skin. Skin cells have speeding growth during 11pm to 5pm. During this period of time, skin absorbency is the highest. In order to let your skin absorb the most nutrients, you need to apply the most effective, nourishing and restoring skincare products and sleep as early as possible.

Secretion of adrenal cortex hormone increases from 4am and such secretion is highest from 6am to 7am. As the adrenal cortex hormone inhibits the formation of protein, cell activities come down to their bottom. When cell activities decrease, moisture is accumulated in the cells and circulation in lymphatic system slows down. Therefore, it is common to find your eyes and face swell when you get up in the morning.

How To Care For Sensitive Skin

The season is changing from winter to spring. The unstable weather, dryness and radiation in spring cause sensitive skin to be more problematic. It is advised by skin care professionals that people with sensitive skin should focus their skin care procedures on moisturizing and sun-blocking and use less cosmetic products.

People with sensitive skin should apply toner to face after cleansing. Toner helps moisten and soothe your skin. Some of the toners can also help tighten your pores. The toners available in the market usually contain preservatives and additives. You can make yourself a natural toner with the following recipe.

To make the aloe vera toner you need a piece of aloe vera and 5ml of glycerin. Put the aloe vera in a juicer to extract the aloe vera juice. Mix the aloe vera juice and glycerin well and contain it with a spray bottle. Spray the toner onto your face after cleansing or whenever you feel needed. This homemade toner not only helps replenish moisture but also soothes your sensitive skin.

Another toner recipe is rose water. Get 3 tea spoons of dried rose petal, 10ml of glycerin and 100ml of distilled water. First, heat the distilled water in a saucepan. Add the flower petals to the water and keep heating for 3 to 5 minutes. Take the flower solution and mix well with the glycerin. Apply to your face after cleansing with patting action. Rose water nourishes your skin and at the same time tightens your pores.

By only replenishing moisture to your sensitive skin Moisturizing alone is inadequate. To have healthy skin, you also need to do a good job on sun blocking. The UV light from the sun is extremely damaging to (sensitive) skin. Over exposure under the sun causes your skin to be dry, dark, inelastic and sensitive.

A good choice of sun block is very important to people with sensitive skin. Therefore you should pay more attention when buying one for yourself. The golden rule for picking the right sun block is to choose those are specifically formulated for sensitive skin. You can see if the sun block is allergy tested, fragrance free and with Zinc Oxide. To safeguard your extremely sensitive skin, you are advised to test with a little amount of sun block on the inside of your arm or behind your ear. If no allergy is noticed after 24 hours, you can use the sun block.

Other than sun block, you may need physical sun blocking with a cap or UV-blocking umbrella when you work or play outside. There is no reason to be lazy if you wish to have healthy skin.

Conquering Insecurity in Your Relationship

I’ll admit that it occurs from time to time. You begin to feel insecure in your relationship.

Perhaps your partner is getting a little too close for comfort to an aquaintance of the opposite gender. Maybe the two of you have been fighting a bit too much recently.

But either way, you are beginning to feel a bit like your relationship is on rocky ground and you would like to know what to do about it.

First realize, that by targeting your thoughts on the negative, you are only making things worse. If you become the type of jealous person that consistently questions your partner after they come back home, that isn’t going to foster the sort of love and intimacy that you truly desire to enjoy.

On the same side of things, constantly stressing about fights or disagreements, will only cause your thoughts to gravitate toward the things that might erupt in a fight, rather than the positive things you enjoy in your relationship.

By concentrating on what you don’t want, you are creating a situation that truly weakens your own relationship.

As an example, your partner feels you’re jealous and doesn’t feel a connection with you. This might make him actually feel attracted to his new female acquaintance. Or trying to avoid a fight might cause you to tip-toe around important issues in your relationship. This kind of poor communication will only cause misunderstandings and more fights in the future.

As an alternative attempt to focus more on what you like the most about your relationship. Remember why you and your partner came together in the first place. Most likely because the both of you were having a great time together and genuinely enjoyed being around one another.

Attempt to live in the present too. Did you know it is not possible to feel nervious or insecure when you are fully in the present moment? All of those feelings come from comparing yourself to others or stressing about the past or the future. Try instead to focus on what is actually happening in the here and now instead of what you fear about the future or the past.

When you focus on the things that bring happiness to both of your lives and dwell in the moment, you will find that issues begin to melt away. This gives you the space and openness to greet love, romance, and happiness into your life. You can’t go wrong when you listen to your feelings and go with what feels good.
