In our lives we experience a lot of things that often pushes us to the kind of wrong path in life. The road of life that if we don’ttry to mend all of our flaws would certainly make our lives awful. And not just our private lives but also the lives of those people we treasure very much. People like our friends, colleagues and families that are there to support us in our life. So as much as possible we should avoid temptations. Temptations that are there in order to deceive us. Deadly temptations that can even possibly be the cause of our own death.

What are temptations? According to the Bible, temptations are tests or trials given to us for us to do evil thus sin against God. Their purpose isn’t only to test us but also to confuse us to what is right and what is wrong. Which sometimes it will come to that point wherein a person don’t any longer see what is right and what is wrong. And if you have already succumbed to these lethal temptations, you now see wrong options as right path and the other way around.

Avoid Temptations Given By God

Would you believe that God gives us temptations? And that Satan is the 1 given this task? No? Yes? Well, the answer is actually yes. Temptations are given to us by God himself. Now don’t avoid Him just because He gives you a bit of difficulties here and there. Keep in mind, this is a part of His test. God is testing us on how faithful we are to Him regardless of what kind of temptation comes our way.

Simple Ways to Avoid Temptations

So how can we avoid these temptations? Here are several things which you can keep in mind:

1st, know and recognize your tendency towards temptation. Knowing exactly what are the things that mostly tempt you and gives you an idea on how you could actually run away or avoid them. Mostly temptations come from our own personal desires and sometimes even needs. So a self check would do you good. Next, learn how to say “NO” against all these temptations. Avoid and withstand them using the God’s truth.

Focus yourself in other constructive things like praying and going to church. Praying allows us to focus more with the good things in everyday life. And don’t forget to repent if you have already fallen to temptation. Learn how to ask forgiveness wholeheartedly. Not like asking for forgiveness today then again you’ll only repeat the same thing afterwards.

These are just simple ways on how you can avoid temptations. There are more ways on how it is possible to avoid them but also don’t forget that no human is perfect. As we fall into temptation then 1 must repent as soon as possible.
